Clyde Road in Berwick

The Bridge Connects Clyde Road is a uniquely small service catering to people in and around the Berwick area, focusing on supporting people to engage their local community and pursue their interests.

Some people have been involved in completing a mosaic community public bench, whilst others are furthering their skills in areas such as life skills training, developing independence on public transport and pursuing volunteer opportunities.

Recently, one of the Clyde Road participants completed the theory component in Certificate 3 in Aged Care, supported by a volunteer. She has been able to further develop her skills and spends time at the local aged care facility, assisting residents and staff. 

The services on offer at Clyde Road:

• life skills such as cooking and travel support
• further education including literacy, computers and iPad training
• swimming and gym sessions
• craft activities
• volunteering opportunities at an aged care centre.
